Do you ever plan on a short story at the least, to 'flesh' out the back story on these two brothers, and explain how Skua started a war?

Also, Skua participating in the surfing conetst on Dis would be very cool. And....did Skua actually give the DNA that created Flinx? His vague answer in 'The End of the Matter' leant it credence that he had.

Will the Sumacrea ever make another appearance? They seemed very important to Flinx at the time.

Since the Hur'rikku still exist, will they play a part in Flinx's quest to destroy the "Void".

Also, I hope that Bran Tse Mallory and Truzenzuzex
will show up in future stories.

Thanks for putting up with all of our inquistive and probing questions about minutea.

Scott

Scott;
Some questions answered in FLINX TRANSCENDENT, out next year. As to Skua, Sawbill, etc., a lot depends on whether or not the Icerigger trilogy ever gets reissued.

Y'all are thinking of the Xunca, who may or may not still exist (see FT next year). The Hur'rikku were the enemies of the Tar-Aiym.

Richard;
Del Rey still owns the rights to the Icerigger trilogy, as they do to all the Commonwealth books. We've been trying for years to get them to republish it. Alternatively, to persuade the SF book club to issue it in their single volume omnibus format. We're still pushing and hoping.

Yes, both MISSION TO MOULOKIN and THE DELUGE DRIVERS were done in hc in Britain. Not easy books to find. The SF book club here also did MISSION.

For a great image of a Tran, look up a copy of Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials.

Not much to do except complain to Del Rey. They get enough, maybe something will happen.

I have some copies of the hc DELUGE. If you're interested, email me directly.

It was Icerigger that introduced me to ADF - and I have to say I'm glad it did! Of the three in the series, it is that one which I reread on an almost regular basis. That said, the way the trilogy rounded out was excellent - especially the return of Colette du Kane (to, more or less, come and get 'her man').

So, let's all berate Del Rey until they agree, so that others can join in reading the stories that have given us so much pleasure. (and so we can all get decent copies on our library shelves!)

Flinx Father,

Any plans for a second Flinx volume from the Science Fiction Book Club?

Would like to have the whole series in hardcover.

Flinx in Flux/Severn has been elusive, I've spotted only one on ebay in the last year or so.

Do to the usual "corporate restructuring", Ellen Asher, who was the long-time editor at the SFBC and who was directly responsible for a lot of my work appearing there (including the recent Flinx omnibus you refer to), has retired. The literary tastes of the new regime remain to be seen. It would indeed be wonderful if they would do the whole series, especially considering that their cover art is among the best and most accurate around.

Flinx in Flux is indeed one of the harder of my Severn titles to track down.

Alan, my daughter Bella, whom you met, pulled the cover off my copy of Flinx in Flux as I was reading it to her in bed one night ... sigh. I guess she just wanted it for herself!!

Hoping you are well.

Well, she's only 19 months old, so I'm not sure she is quite old enough to be interested in anything other than the bright colors. But she does like to listend to me read to her - as long as she can play with the pages.

Skua and Sawbill were dealt with in the Emoman, IIRC, were they not?
