Papua New Guinea would be #1. Incredible diversity of life, healthy reefs, multiple areas to dive, and also wonderful things to see and experience on land. A long way to go, though, and requires committment in time and money. Same for the Raja Ampat islands of Indonesia. French Polynesia is nice, but also expensive. For an easier but still spectacular trip I'd go to Palau. Currency is the US$, language is English, easy to get to. If you want something closer to home and less costly, you might try Belize. Central America, but language is English, and biggest barrier reef in the hemisphere. When you decide on a place, email me and I'll try to provide some helpful details/suggestions. I'll be diving in northern Borneo in September. | |
